The Hoodie is still on top this week… but the gap is CLOSING and you gotta wonder if he’s getting a little nervous.
Adam is 5-1 and won his matchup this week (you’re welcome, dude). But two weeks in a row of scoring less than 110 points should have him feeling a little uncomfortable. Maybe a lot uncomfortable considering there are some strong teams on his heels.
Teams like Nathan and Austin who are both sitting at 5-1. Nathan is scoring basically the same amount of ppg as Adam is and Austin just keeps putting up wins despite scoring about ten points less than Adam per game.
It’s the Hoodie’s world right now. But I’d be watching my back if I was in his place. (it’s place? I don’t think we know the gender of the hoodie. It may transcend such human notions. Perhaps it only identifies as EVIL?)
Being 5-1 is cool and all, but it’s a little boring. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a team or two out there who were scoring a lot of points but not winning a lot of games? Wouldn’t that be interesting? Well do I have some names for YOU: It’s Travis and Joey!!!
Both teams have 2-4 records, but Travis is scoring 134 ppg and Joey is scoring a LEAGUE BEST 148! Travis has the HIGHEST roster score in the league right now and Joey has the 6th! Fantasy Football is often a game of numbers over time and regressing to the mean. Both teams have got to be hoping that there are some adjustments coming.
At 4-2 we have a pair of teams in THE CHAMP and Murkve. Murkve is currently winning the Boogie Division and Scott is second only to Austin in the You’d Cream Division. Both of these teams could use a win this week to get into the elite of the league and they’ll both have chances to take wins off of 5-1 teams. Scott plays Adam and Murkve plays Austin.
Then there’s everyone else. Corey sits at 3-3. Jensen and I at 2-4. Kyle at 1-5. Our shame is palatable. Things are bad. Depression is upon us. Football has been mean to us. Go Dawgs. Bark bark.
About the League Punishment, I’m gonna leave this voting form open one more week. We need four more votes and things are close enough that these votes really matter. So, if you haven’t voted in this, PLEASE DO SO.
