The seas are calm, the rum is flowing, and Captain Morgan once again stands at the helm of our fantasy fleet. Scott is the only seven-win team in the league, reclaiming the top spot after a brief mutiny by Austin. With seven wins, Scott’s basically punched his playoff ticket. It’s just a matter of whether he sails in with style, or coasts in with cruise control.
But he’s not alone in the upper waters. Austin’s right behind him with six wins, while Justin and Kory are sitting pretty with five. All three are looking like playoff locks unless something truly chaotic (and therefore inevitable) happens.
For the rest of us? The sun’s setting earlier than we’d like. Nathan, Chris, and Murk are hanging on at four wins, not sunk yet, but the sharks are circling. Adam, Jensen, Corey, and yours truly are sitting at three wins, clutching our lineup changes like life vests and praying for a miracle. And Joey? Joey’s ship has sailed. RIP, our fallen brother. A pirates life for you.
Only six weeks left in the regular season. Every move matters now. One wrong start could be the difference between glory and the loser’s bracket. Choose wisely, mateys. Yo Ho Yo Ho!!!!!
Speaking of Pirates, I was at Disney last week (in case you didn’t know )and would like to provide a BONUS POWER RANKINGS in the form of “The Top Five Rides at Magic Kingdom:”
- Haunted Mansion: It has ghosts. It has ghouls. It has the Peppers Ghost illusion. Perfect ride, no notes.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Two words, PIRATE WATER.
- Tron: It’s a little short, but the queue rocks and the soundtrack is perfect.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: It’s better in almost every way than it was before and the drop is still awesome.
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: THE GEMS!!!! Also the cottage scene at the end is fun if not a little creepy.
And now, here’s the real Power Rankings:
