<AI prompt = if Coffee was a Muppet>
Justin alone has NINE wins.
Justin alone is scoring over 120 points per game.
Justin alone truly understands the glory that is Muppet Vision 3D.
I know most of you don’t care. But I can’t emphasize enough how great that attraction is at Disney even if only as an air conditioned place to rest after hitting Galaxy’s Edge. It will be missed and I think it’s only fitting that one of it’s champions sits alone on top of the Power Rankings this week. Seriously, Justin’s team is very good. I’m not sure how we let him assemble the Avengers, but it’s probably Joey’s fault.
But none of that is why you’re here. You want to know if you can still make the Playoffs with one week to go. (Unless your name is Austin. You already know you can’t. Hope all is well!!)
Let’s talk about how the Playoffs are shaping up right now:
The Boogie Division
A big congrats to JUSTIN who has officially won The Boogie Division. He’s in pole position for a first round bye as well, however his matchup this week with Adam is pretty important. Depending on how some other matchups go, their game could determine who gets the first seed and even who gets a first round bye.
Both Corey and myself are still in the hunt. I have seven wins and hold the tiebreak over Jensen. However, if Corey wins this week and I lose, a wildcard spot could come down to points scored between the two of us. BUT if Kyle wins and Corey wins and I lose, Kyle will actually get the spot because he holds the tiebreak over Corey AND myself. It’s kind of a cluster. Bottom line, if I win I’m in. If I lose and Kyle also loses, Corey is in. If I lose and Corey and Kyle both win, Kyle is in.
The Suck It Bryant Division
Congrats to Murkve on winning this Division! With seven wins and holding the tiebreak over Kyle, no one can catch him. I sure Chris is so happy about this.
Kyle can still get into the playoffs if some things break right for him as discussed above.
Chris is done.
The You’d Cream Division
Joey wins this division and is potentially in play for a first round bye depending on tie breakers between himself, Scott, and Adam. Although I would like to remind him that the first tiebreaker is ‘have you asked Bryant about tiebreakers in the past four months’ so he’ll probably be playing in the first round.
I think Jensen is done. Even if he beats Kyle and get’s to seven wins, both Corey and myself hold the tiebreak over him.
Nathan is done.
The MDF Division
Adam and Scott are both have the same record and go into the final week with a chance to win the MDF Division. They split their series this year, so if they end on the same record it’ll come down to points scored. Scott has a 43 point advantage in that department going into the final week. Adam plays Justin and Scott plays me. As far as a wildcard spot, I think both of these teams would make the playoffs as a wildcard even if they lose this week. The only other team that can get to eight wins that isn’t going to win their division is myself. Adam holds the tiebreak over me so it wouldn’t matter if he lost and we tied. If I beat Scott, we’d both be at eight wins and I’d have the break over him. But we’d be the only non-divisional winners with eight wins so we’d both get wildcard spots.
The other person in this division is Austin. He was out last week and is now confirmed to have next years #1 overall pick. Have fun taking CMC and praying that next year is one of the “good CMC years”.
In short, Joey, Justin and Murkve are for sure in as divisional winners. One of Scott or Adam will join them and the other will probably get in as a wildcard spot. If I win I’m in. Corey and Kyle both need to win and have a little bit of help.
As always, this is unofficial and there’s a chance I’ve missed something for sure. If you spot something I’ve missed, please feel free to let the league office know. We’ll totally amend this. Maybe.
Also, please wait for the official league office notice next Tuesday to find out final playoff seeding.
