Chris is on top of the Power Rankings and his his foot on the throat of this league. (Some of you would cream).
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s take stock of where we are as a league. There are TWO weeks left in the Fantasy Football Regular season and now’s a good time to ask yourself a simple question: Who am I?
Anything can happen in Fantasy Football (it’s mostly luck after all). But at this point in the year we have more than enough data to organize teams into a few different categories:
The Real Contenders:
These are the teams who have a legit shot at a fantasy championship this year. These teams have a combination of the right kind of roster and the right playoff math. With two weeks left, here’s who is probably in this category:
Chris: Duh. He is Cat Supreme. He has an historic team lead by CMC who CANT STOP SCORING OMG I MISS HIM SO MUCH! Chris is probably the betting favorite to win this year.
Bryant: It’s weird writing about me in the third person. So I wont. I have the #1 roster score tied with Chris right now and am the only other team in double digit wins at the moment. If we both win out, Chris and I will play for the #1 seed in week 14. But cmon, even I wouldn’t bet on me… GG, everyone.
Joey: Joey is good again. He’s #1 in overall wins and 3rd in points scored against him so it’s not crazy to assume that he’s been on the wrong end of some tough matchups this year. The one thing that might trip him up is his Division. at 7-5 with two games left, he hasn’t actually wrapped up the division yet. Him and Justin split their series this year, so there’s a chance that Justin could win the division from him if they both win out. With so many teams around Justin-Justin or 7-5, he’s not even guaranteed a Wild Card spot at this point. Joey has a lot to play for the next two weeks.
The MAYBE Contenders:
These are the teams who are right below the out and out contenders and need a couple of things to break right. In a game as fluid as Fantasy Football, all it takes is one smart waiver wire pick up or one injury to one of the above teams to open a window for one of these teams to make a run
Austin: At Justin – Justin, Austin is in play for a wildcard spot. He’s really clawed his way back into relevance this season. He’s got the 5th best roster and the 5th most overall wins in the league. Could this be the year he makes a run?
Corey: Corey is also Justin – Justin and currently in the pole position to win the You’d Cream Division. But, he split both tie breakers with Adam and Scott. Which makes this very messy because if he ties with either of them it’ll come down to total points scored. That being said, Corey is also a threat to make a playoff run if he gets in
Nathan: Nathan is in Chris’s division. Which sucks. Sorry, man. That being said, the only three time champ has the Justinth best roster score and if he gets into the playoffs through the wildcard he’s sure to knock me out in the second round right? It’s usually him or Jensen…
The Long Shots
These three teams are looking at a tough climb. But it’s still possible and (at least in Justin’s case) they might have the rosters to pull it off. Stranger things have happened in this league then one of these teams fighting their way into the playoffs (where they will inevitably beat me).
Justin: Here’s the deal, Justin is a long shot. But he’s got a good roster. The Alogo gives him the 4th best roster in the league at the moment. If he wins out and Joey loses his last two games, there’s a chance Justin could win the Suck it Bryant Division at the death. He’s the champ for a reason, friends. If he gets in, he’s got a shot.
Adam: Adam’s been kinda hanging around all year and I really respect that. He’s got the 10th best roster but somehow the fourth best record at Justin – Justin. He’s also less than 100 points away from Corey’s total points scored and has spilt his head to head series against him. If Adam wins out, he’s got a shot at the playoffs and then a shot at a second title.
Scott: Scott’s team isn’t very good. Neither is his division. The You’d Cream Division is the weakest division in the league this year. At 5-7, Scott is only ONE game out from winning the division. He could win and get in if things fall right for him
The “We’re Kinda Done Here” Crew
These teams gave it their all this year (or Chat GPT’s all). But this just isn’t their week, month, or even their year. Their teams are already looking forward to the off-season in the Caribbean.
Jensen: Jensen cursed Nick Chubb and then his whole team started to suck. I feel no remorse for him. BARK BARK ARF ARF DOG NOISE DOG NOISE
Kyle: Kyle is bad. But not the WORST in the league this year!!! Improvement!! He tried a new thing this year (Using Chat GPT) and it didn’t work (maybe because Chat GPT only has data up to a couple of years ago).
And, that’s everyone.
Well, almost everyone.
I guess there’s Kory. He started tanking about four weeks before he really needed to, at least in this writers humble opinion. Kory has taken himself out of the running and that’s a shame. He is none of these catagories.
Okay, now that’s everyone. With two games left, 75% of the league could still make the playoffs. So no matter who you are, chances are there’s something to play for. And, if not there’s always the Meg Deb Invitational to look forward to. Right Justin? RIGHT!?!?!
