Chris is on top of the Power Rankings. Who cares? Let’s talk Playoffs.
With FOUR games left in the Fantasy Football Regular season, I figured it’d be a good time to take stock of how things are looking. As a quick reminder, the Tie-Breaks in our league are as follows:
1. Record
2. Head to Head
3. Total Points Scored
4. Division record.
Here’s the current Playoff landscape:
The Boogie Division:
Chris has already clinched the Boogie Division Crown. At 9-1 with two wins over Nathan there’s no way that anyone in his division can catch him at this point. As of right now, he’d get the #1 seed and a first round bye. With several teams being 5-5 or 6-5, Nathan has a chance to grab a wildcard spot if the chips fall in the right way. Kyle, although technically not eliminated yet, is basically out.
The Suck It Bryant Division:
This division is a mess. Every single person in this division is 5-5. Joey owns the tiebreak over Kory. Justin owns the tiebreak over Joey. Kory owns the tiebreak over Justin. Everyone has one or two division games left to play. This division legit might come down to points scored. All three of these teams are within 30 points of each other, so even that might be close. Someone is going to win this division, but I don’t have any idea who.
The You’d Cream Division
This is another close one. Adam is currently sitting atop this division with 6 wins, but Corey and Scott are right behind him with 5 and 4 wins a piece. Adam is in a precarious position having split all of his division match ups with Corey and Scott. This means that if theres a tie in record between him and someone else, it would come down to points scored. Corey holds that tiebreak right now, but Scott doesn’t over Adam. With four games left, this one feels like it’s going to be a nail biter.
The MDF Division
Jensen is the only person mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. ONE WIN? Cmon dude. Believe it or not, I haven’t clinched this division yet. I need one more win. If I beat Austin this week, I’ll secure it and be in position for the #2 Seed and a first round bye. If he beats me it starts a furious sprint to see if he can run the table and if I can lose enough to keep the door open for him.
That’s what the divisions look like. If the season ended today, here’s a glimpse at what the playoff bracket would look like:
1.Chris
BYE
4.Joey/Kory/Justin
5.Joey/Kory/Justin/Corey/Austin
3.Adam
6.Joey/Kory/Justin/Corey/Austin
BYE
2.Bryant
Obviously, we’ll get a lot of clarity over the next four weeks.
Also, this week is the Trade Deadline. After the final game wraps up on Monday night, you won’t be able to make trades again until the offseason. So trade away, Justin.
