Week Eight Power Rankings: Cat Strikes Back

The demise of Cat Chord Chris has been grossly exaggerated.

He spent a couple of weeks looking up at Joey (they’d both cream) in the Power Rankings, but it’s not like he really went anywhere. He’s 7-1 and still averaging 130 points a week which is 20+ more than the League average. He’s scored 1045 over the first eight weeks of the season which is nearly 200 more than the league average and 315 more than Kyle who has scored the least amount of points. Chris is the only person to break the “1000 Points” barrier so far this year.

Simply put, his team is performing at historic levels. One Cat stands above all and he hates Basketball.

Joey is this weeks big loser. He dropped three spots in the Power Rankings after back to back losses to me and then Nathan. Those losses have him tied with the surging Nathan for the lead in the “Suck It Bryant Division” with Kory only one win behind them (great tanking, dude).

The “You’d Cream” Division is also still anyone’s game. Adam leads it at 5-3 but at 3-5 both Corey and Scott are still in the mix. With six games left, anyone could still end the season with the “You’d Cream” title.

The other two divisions are a little bit more defined. At 7-1, Chris is in the drivers seat of the “Boogie” Division. Nathan is 5-3, though so a dip in form from Chris could open the door for the only 3 time Champ in League history to steal the Division. Meanwhile, if I win this week and Austin loses I’ll clinch the “MDF” Division in week 9 which I think would be the earliest anyone has ever clinched a Division in our league. So that’s cool.

Still plenty to play for! The rest of the Power Rankings are below:

Happy Halloween, friends!
