Week Seven Power Rankings: Joey is still here. I guess.

What the heck do I have to do to be ranked first!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

Joey is still ranked #1. I get it. He has the #1 Roster Score for the rest of the year, is 2nd in points for and consistency and also 2nd in overall wins. His only metric outside of 1st or 2nd is his dang record. You know… the thing that most matters.

Meanwhile I’m 7-0 and my roster just went Super Saiyan (farewell, Justin Jefferson) and the best the Algorithm can do for me is 3rd. THIRD!!!!!! I can’t even get second (The Cat is warming that seat with his aids legs)!

While we’re talking about my Sun and Stars, may he ride forever in the nightlands, I figured I’d take a second to remind us the reason why we play fantasy football. For fun. I had a moment while I was contemplating that trade where I got kind of stressed. I put down my phone and was pacing around my kitchen thinking about it. Finally, I asked myself “What is the most FUN option” and I let that be my guiding light to trading away a player that’s been my signature for the past four years. Because having a roster that was competitive this year was going to be more fun then holding on the Jefferson and hoping for the best.

This is a game we play for fun. If you’re not, start asking yourself “What would be the most fun thing” and do that*.

Speaking of fun, I want to shout out SCOTT this week. That dude was bottom of the league and looking like there was no hope a couple of weeks ago. Kyle was better than him. KYLE!!!!! But this week his team put up 145 points and won the weekly bonus. He’s tied with Austin for 9th in the rankings and is only one game from leading his division. Scott is a great example of the fact that you’re never really too far from being relevant again in Fantasy Football**.

We’re over halfway through the regular season! The rest of the Power Rankings are below. Week Eight is here.

*Except you, Adam. Every time you do something ‘fun’ it ends up with you getting a Samsung or dropping all your players to the waiver wire. I need you to ask yourself “Whats the most normal thing I can do” and do that.

** Except you Jensen. You’re pretty far away. I mean, you lost to Kyle this week. KYLE!
