After executing a wonderfully frustrating trade right at the deadline (THANKS CHRIS YOU BIMBO), Joey looks poised to be the favorite as the Playoff Train gets ready to pull away from the station. His 153 points this week is the second time in two weeks his team has put up the top score in the league. He does play me this week, though. I’ve made it my personal mission to ruin as many days as possible in route to the Meg Deb Invitational. Can I ruin his? Probably not. GG, Joey.
Elsewhere in the league, The North Division is gonna come down to a photo finish. Corey’s team has the highest points scored in the league, but also the highest posts scored against. What does that mean? Kinda nothing. It is interesting, though. As Corey’s team ascends, it feels like Kory’s team is doing the opposite. Once on top of the League, the Halestorm feels like it’s running out of steam. Can Kory’s team rally? Either way, I believe that both of these teams have secured playoff spots.
Joey and Adam have also secured Playoff spots, I think. All four of those teams are at 8-4 and the only team that could catch up to them if they drop their next 2 games is Kyle at 6-6… who is currently winning the NFC South of this league, the West Division.
Outside of that, it’s gonna be a blood bath again in this league. The only people eliminated from the Playoffs at this point are Austin and Chris. Baring some tiebreak shenanigans that are tough to get a hold of until all the games are played, Nathan, Jensen, Justin, Kyle, Scott, and (somehow) myself are all still technically in the running. With two games to go, who knows how this is going to end? (I know I’m not gonna make it).
What’s it going to take to get your team onto the Playoff train? Maybe a bold lineup choice? Maybe the perfect waiver wire pickup? Maybe just your opponent being Austin? Whatever it takes, now is the time to reach out and take your pre-Christmas miracle.
One more time for good luck, GG JOEY.
