Feel that? The violent wind. The drop in pressure. The clouds darkening our world. That, my friends, is a HALE STORM in full effect.
Not only is Kory once again #1 in this week’s Power Rankings, but he also won the BONUS WEEK netting him a cool $80. That could almost buy Adam’s family pizza! Kory’s team put up an impressive 161.98 points this week which is only about 20 away from the all time record. At 3-1, Kory is well positioned to not just make the playoffs but make another run at the Troph-Deez.
Right up there with him, however, are the teams of The Nemmonster and Grand Admiral Jawn. Both of those teams are also 3-1. They also both reside in the South division. Will they hold each other back? Probably not because Joey killed our fun tie breaks. I kinda hope he misses the playoffs because of that. Poetic justice.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, is me. Team Plus Ultra has yet to record a single win this year. 3-0 is a really tough hole to dig out of and still make the Playoffs. 4-0, I don’t think that’s even been done. So all of you who have been eagerly anticipating me making the Playoffs and once again losing in the first round are gonna be disappointed this year. Sorry.
One interesting match-up this week is The Wrekfast Club vs Swift Kick in the Ass. Both of these teams are 2-2 and a win will propel the victor into the upper echelons of the league. A loss would do the opposite, obviously. Currently it looks like Justin is favored by about 5%.
One final thing, the voting for what to do with the extra league surplus is officially CLOSED. We’ll be announcing the results of the vote later this week. I can say however that one choice did get 7+ votes. So there’s no need for a run off.
