Week One Power Rankings: The Return of the Algorithm

The Algorithm RETURNS!!!!!

After a long off-season of soul-searching and finding identity, our dear friend The Algoeritm has returned and they have brought with them a slew of upgrades and updates that are sure to make you happy (unless you are Corey).

Below is the link for the Week One Power Rankings as produced by The Algorithm. This is a live spreadsheet with two tabs you should be able to see. The first is the overall rankings which now include such stats as:
– Overall Wins: The Algorithm now tracks how each player would have fared if facing every other league team as well. So, you’ll notice that Kyle has an “Overall Win Record” of 11-0 because he would have beat every team this week. Meanwhile, Nathan has an “Overall Win Record” of 3-8 because even though he won this week he would have lost against 8 of us. The Algorithm gives this stat weight in the power rankings.
– Power Rank Score: The Algorithm now ranks how well you do on the Power Rankings. Spend more weeks in the upper half, you have a higher score. Spend less weeks in the upper half, you have a lower score. The Algorithm will use this as another method to measure consistency.

The second tab is a bunch of charts that contextualize trends from the year. You’ll be able to track your rise or fall through the Power Rankings all year!
