Week Thirteen Power Rankings: Two Weeks Left

Attention. There are only TWO GAMES left in the Fantasy Football regular season. So, before we get to this week’s Power Rankings (which will make Kory mad), let’s take a look at how things are shaping up in each division and who has secure playoff berths:

East
Yo, the east freaking sucks. Adam is currently leading this Division at 5-7. That means that the best record possible to come out of the east will be .500. However, Chris can still make the playoffs as well if he wins his next two games and Adam loses one or two. They split the head to head this year. Adam has a division record of 2-2 and Chris has a division record of 2-1-1. Chris’s tie with Kyle might give him the playoff berth over Adam if they end up having the same record.

Meanwhile, Kyle has given up and is eliminated from playoff contention. So that’s cool. That combined with the general awfulness of this division means that chances are only one team is getting into the playoffs from this division.

West
Not only has Kory secured himself a playoff spot, but he’s also secured himself a first-round bye. He doesn’t fully have the #1 seed locked up yet. He plays me in the last week of the season, which will probably determine the #1 seed.

Everyone else in this division sucks and is just about as good as their record says. Which is to say, not very good.

South
I currently sit atop of the South Divison and as of right now live in the #2 seed. But there’s still all to play for in this Division. Jensen at 7-5 can still win the division if I lose my last two games and both him and Justin can still make the playoffs in a Wildcard spot if they win out. At least one wildcard team will come out of this division, with the potential for there to be two.

North
Every single team in the North is currently tied at 7-5. This is the division of death this year. Joey is 4-0 in the Division and holds the head-to-head tie break over Nathan and Corey. At this moment, he would win the Division, and either Corey or Nathan would get a wildcard spot. But that’s not guaranteed because both wildcard spots could go to either the two losers in this division or the two losers in the South depending on the final records. None of these teams can afford to lose the last two games of the season. It’s gonna be a real photo finish and someone’s gonna be mad at our tie breaks at the end of all of this (my guess, it’ll be Joey because he always is).

Wings
Let’s talk wings. With two games left, here at the teams still technically in the WING ZONE: Kyle (2 wins), Austin (3 wins). That’s it. Scott and Chris both hold head-to-head tie breaks over Kyle. Austin does as well, so Kyle would need Austin to lose his last two and he’d have to win his last two. While I technically can’t call it yet… cmon. Kyle’s getting that wing meat two years in a row. We may need to talk about ways to improve this in the future if people get multiple punishments in a row…

Playoff Bracket Right Now:

1. Kory
BYE.

4. Adam
5. Jensen / Nathan / Corey

3. Joey
6. Jensen / Nathan / Corey

BYE.
2. Bryant

Two weeks left. Really only Austin, Scott, and Kyle are eliminated from the Playoffs. Still, a lot to play for, friends. The Power Rankings are below:
