On July 12th, (read that again Corey) we will gather as owners to prepare for the upcoming league year. This will be our NINTH year of Fantasy Football together and we have some decisions to make to help us make it the best year yet! Here are the items currently on the League Agenda:
*As a reminder, this is by no means supposed to be an exhaustive list of things we need to change or adjust. These are the ‘big’ items that require face to face communication. Everything else we can handle via polls or in less official ways.
- 2020 Draft Date
- 2020 Divisions: As always, these will be decided by random draw. (I, for one, am hoping that Joey and Scott end up in the same Division.)
- Keepers: We have talked about adjusting our Keeper system to add flexibility to our draft strategy. An idea that has growing traction would be to select a Keeper but give up a draft pick a round sooner than he was drafted the year previously. This decision will probably inform our next decision:
- Platform: Over the past 12 months we’ve talked about evaluating the platform we use to play fantasy football on. If we’re going to make the switch, we need to do so now. So far as I can tell, our three best options are below. It would be good for each person to evaluate these options BEFORE the meeting so we can have informed conversation about it without wasting each others time.
- ESPN
- Sleeper
- Yahoo Fantasy Football
- Name of the League.
- Finances: Finally, we need to determine our league dues for 2020 and how we will be spending our league dues. We’re currently scheduled to be $45 UNDER where we were last year in terms of our budget.
