Our 2014 Champion: Nathan Emmons!!

We have our THIRD ever Champion and his name is Nate E Church Boy!

Nathan and his team Panda Peace (a tribute to the great Ron Artest) entered the Playoffs this year at the #4 Seed with a record of 7-6. He is one of three teams this year to make the Playoffs at 7-6 and because of his Seed was not awarded a first round bye.

In the first Round Nathan and Panda Peace faced off against Turn Down for Watt and their owners Scott Morgan and Travis Horner. Scott had been to the Championship game the past two years so his team was the odds on favorite even though they were the higher seed at #5. Turn Down for Watt was lead by Matt Forte, Emmanuel Sanders, and Jimmy Graham. Meanwhile, Panda Peace was lead by a core of Russell Wilson, Eddie Lacy (before he got fat) and C.J. Anderson (again, before he got fat). In a surprise result, Panda Peace defeated Scott and Travis 120 – 89

In the second round, Nathan came up against the #1 Seed in the Playoffs, AJ and his team 98 DeBrees. Aj’s team was lead by Aaron Rodgers, AJ Green and GRONK himself and once again Nathan found himself the underdog. In an amazing twist of fate, these teams actually TIED at 85 points a piece so the QB Tie Break was initiated and Nathan won based on QB points defeating the #1 Seed.

In the Championship game, Nathan’s unlikely Playoff run came face to face with another Cinderella Story in the form of the Luckness Monster and their owner Kyle Morgan. Kyle entered the Playoffs at the #6 and final Seed and with a 7-6 record as well. He had defeated the #3 and #2 Seeds to make it to the Championship. The Luckness monster was lead by a team featuring Andrew Luck, Steven Jackson, and Julio Jones! But, unfortunately for Kyle, his team underperformed (Falcons, underperform? No way!?) when it mattered most and Nathan’s tea, defeated his 95 – 59.

Nathan is our THIRD Champion. His win proves that sometimes all you have to do is get yourself to the dance and you never know where the music might take you.
